One day workshop at The Steel Rooms

On 30 March 2019 I’ll be running a printmaking workshop at The Steel Rooms in Brigg.

This will be a one-day workshop, producing ink-on-paper prints using the collagraph method, the same technique I use to produce my own prints. It will run whilst my solo exhibition is on at the same venue. Also, it will give me a chance to work with local people, for them to experience an immersive printmaking technique, and most of all, for us all to have fun!

Morning session:
In the morning session, participants will glue a variety of materials onto a flat surface to make printing plates. These can include torn or cut fabric pieces and edgings, string, matchsticks, rubber washers, pieces of card, kitchen foil, dried leaves etc.

Afternoon session:
Later, the group will use a small my small Cut XPress printing press to print their plate(s) and see the results!
