I was recently invited to deliver a talk on my printmaking practice and a demonstration of monoprinting and collagraph techniques at Grantham College.

The talented group of students are studying at HND and HNC levels, and are from a range of backgrounds including printmaking, fine art and photography. I began by showing my short film and answered questions on the creative and technical approach to my work, before demonstrating monoprints using hand rollers and printing collagraphs on my little portable XCut XPress printing press.

The group were already working on some interesting print projects. The most fascinating aspect of the session was that I learnt as much from the group as I hope they did from me. They asked interesting questions and were an inspiration. I hope to return to work with them again next year.
