Rhythm V

The technique used to make this image – peeling layers away from ordinary mount board – was one of the first I used to make collagraph plates. The smooth surface gives way to a rougher texture beneath, creating contrasting tones in the final print..This image was an abstract interpretation of ploughed fields.
