Metallics: Moon In A Pewter Sky

    Moon In A Pewter Sky

This was one of a series of 15 cm plates covered with thick coatings of acrylic gels, crackle paste and interior filler. I wanted the moon to appear as a contrasting element, so I drilled a hole in the birch plywood and made scuff marks around the hole, subsequently lightened with coats of varnish to make the print look like there was a halo around the moon.
