Elements are pieces of failed prints. In most cases the paper stuck to the printing plate and had to be peeled away. However, the piece is left behind were often very interesting, so I began making collages and standalone pieces from these fragments. These pieces often reminded me of precious historical artefacts that were held in place using pins, and so I used thin dressmaking pins, or sometimes sewing, to position my pieces of paper.
