Gold Elements I

The three elements in this image were pieces of birch plywood torn from a larger sheet. To each each piece I applied some kitchen foil and creased at as I glued it into position. Carborundum was then added to create subtle dark tones in places. Knowing how difficult it can be to obtain good print density with gold ink, I mixed it with complimentary colours to bring out the gold – yellows oranges and browns.
