Whilst in London, I caught up with a friend for lunch and a stroll around Tate Modern. Then, we headed over the Millennium Bridge towards St Paul’s Cathedral. Just opposite the cathedral, we spotted some familiar eyes on a familiar face, but in an unfamiliar setting…
It was Shaun The Sheep, busy raising money for childrens’ charities around the country. The brightly coloured sheep were sculpted by artists across the country, and decorated by designers including Cath Kinston and David Gandy. They form an arts trail around the capital, and follow a similar show in Bristol in 2013, when the Wallace & Gromit Children’s Foundation raised £2.3 million.
I just love the name puns on the plaques…
I should be back in London in 2-3 months, looking at different ways to promote my prints. Then, I’ll seek out some art at some alternative different galleries and other venues.
