From January, I’ll be exhibiting at the brilliant 20:21 visual arts centre in Scunthorpe!
As part of the ‘Introducing’ series of shows, I’ll be showing around 14 prints. ‘Introducing…’ is a series of rolling exhibitions that give opportunities for local and regional artists to show their work to a new audience. Similarly, it’s a chance for gallery visitors to see work from an ever-changing repertoire of new and emerging artists.
For me, this is an excellent chance to take stock of where my printmaking practice stands right now. The only problem is deciding which prints to include – and which to leave out! I will be balancing a desire to show a few large ‘show stoppers’ with smaller prints that encourage people to look closer.
There will be framed and unframed prints, plus greetings cards for sale. I’m also planning to be at the show on the first weekend (20 January), to conduct a demo and talk for visitors. I may also be doing some ‘live’ printing, using a small printing press.
