This image, with its depiction of a storm with swirling cloud was made with acrylic gels, smeared around a perspex plate with a plastic comb. The print is one of a series I call ‘Atmospherics’, which can be seen in the Archive section of this website.
The ‘Map’ series of prints are a semi-abstract response to sections of Ordnance Survey maps of parts of the UK. Although they do not depict a particular place, they reflect the fields, rivers, objects and other natural or man-made topographical features that can be seen from the air. The prints contain marks that can be seen either as denoting decay or nature reclaiming its own, over time.
