\u2018Anomalies\u2019, the first major exhibition of my works as an artist-printmaker, will be on show at the Ropewalk, Barton upon Humber in September (details below). Through a collection of over 50 prints, the show will explore the role of quick decision-making and\u00a0\u2018happy accidents\u2019 in my collagraph printmaking.<\/p>\n
The textured, largely abstract prints are both elemental expressions of mood and responses to everyday materials. Fabric edging, plastic fruit bags, plumbing washers, layers of card, gels, matchsticks and other ordinary materials are used to make printing plates. The compositions are then printed on fine papers, using subtle mixes of traditional and metallic inks.<\/p>\n
