Carborundum paint was the main material used to make the plate for Chaos Theory. I can remember having the idea for an image that reminded me of a storm at sea. Swirling wind and rain – a cyclone – was the image I think I had in my head as I used various tools to drag and swirl the special paint around a clear acetate plate. Just in time, I remembered to include some clear spaces on the plate. These gaps produce interesting contrast in the final print and the sense of looking directly into the eye of the storm.
